Help Sam Wilde rescue his beloved girlfriend from an evil and mad, serial killer
Solve fun hidden object puzzles in order to reach your goal of freeing Sam’s girlfriend
Explore the serial killer’s imaginative artworks that are made from the bodies of his victims.
Sam Wilde is an ordinary English reporter who recently published an article about the disappearances that have been happening in his town. Little did he know that his article caught the eye of the serial killer behind all those disappearances, Oscar. In an attempt to engage Sam, the killer kidnapped his girlfriend and told Sam, via a note, to travel to Goldvale Manor if he wants to see her again. Thrust into a race to save his girlfriend's life, Sam now has to solve a series of puzzles and hopefully outwit Oscar at his own game.
As the story unfolds, Sam realizes that Oscar creates art masterpieces from different victims that he has kidnapped. He does this by using different embalming methods, to give each victim the gift of immortality and his or her own theme or an ideology that Oscar holds dear to his heart. Oscar also made showpieces from victims of his own life. One of the victims is a mechanic who had an affair with his girlfriend while another is a lady who once rejected him. Oscar also tries to tempt Sam and project his own cynical views towards Sam; constantly asking him whether Anna – Oscar’s girlfriend – is worth pursuing.
Aside from the creepy plot, the game features more than fifty scenes that players can visit and try to solve the different puzzles. There is a map in the game that shows players items that might be of interest to them. Players can easily navigate throughout the game using their mouse and pick all the necessary objects that they might need. Whether it may be bedrooms, kitchens, hallways or pretty much any kind of room, players can quickly and easily skim through them in order to find clues. There is a strong sense of diversity and consistency in each room. Some areas even react to Sam’s movement. The graphics and artworks are well detailed and intense as well.
The balance between the mystery adventure game and hidden objects is perfect; while the hidden object scenes do not feel out of place. The game in itself is very addictive with many different puzzles, excellent graphics and the constant interaction with Oscar himself, players are sure to always find themselves trying to outwit Oscar. Fans of these type of games genre will eat it up completely because of its high-quality gameplay and interesting plot.
Plus, the game provides its own walkthrough, that should make most players solve puzzles with ease, just in case they get stuck. As far as hidden objects games go, this one has a lot of variety, is pretty spooky and has a lot of hidden object scenes built in.
